Joy Drawing Powder
The holidays, while meant to be a fun time with friends and family, can be not-so-nice for some. This is why I’ve put together a powder recipe to draw joy closer to you. While this powder recipe would be great for a jar or a sachet spell, I do not recommend ingesting or smoking this powder! I don’t think I’d really burn it over a charcoal either, honestly. Be safe and keep yourself safe!
This is also a good recipe because you can adapt it to suit both your needs and what you have on hand. Choose a handful of the items from the list and visualize your intention as you grind the herbs into a fine powder.
Also, while you’re doing this, don’t let your cat jump onto where you’re working and drool all over your catnip like mine did. Lesson learned!
You will need:
The ingredients I chose were lavender, anise, spearmint, mugwort, marjoram, coffee grounds, dragon’s blood, and myrrh.
Grind them all down in your mortar and pestle. Visualize your intentions of bringing joy and happiness to you. When you mix your ingredients together, stir clockwise to promote positivity. Keep at it until the mixture is the right consistency and generally “feels right” to you.
As you can tell from the picture, mine is still quite coarse - it’s all a matter of personal preference.
Store in a sealed container in a safe place. Add a pinch to magical workings to aid in the drawing near of joy.
